(Sponsored Talk by Mirantis)

OpenStack is a fast growing cloud platform. Hadoop was brought there a year ago by Sahara (ex. Savanna) project. Project's aim is to remove entry barrier for running Hadoop on OpenStack. Sahara eases move to OpenStack, as it hides details unneeded for end user to deploy Hadoop cluster on OpenStack. It can not only deploy the cluster, but also scale existing one. Another Sahara advantages is the provisioning speed: it can bring up a cluster of vanilla Hadoop in five minutes. The talk will cover the following items:

* OpenStack and Sahara overview

* Hadoop provisioning options provided by Sahara

* Supported Hadoop distributions

* Live demo

* Performance of virtualized Hadoop
